At High Country K9, we provide expert medical alert and psychiatric service dog training in Nashville, TN. Our programs are designed to improve independence, safety, and quality of life for individuals with PTSD, diabetes, autism, anxiety, or depression.

Our Specialized Training Programs
🧠 PTSD Service Dogs
PTSD service dogs are trained to help interrupt panic attacks, wake from nightmares, and provide deep pressure therapy (DPT). Perfect for veterans, first responders, and trauma survivors.
💉 Diabetic Alert Dogs
Diabetic alert dogs detect high and low blood sugar using scent detection. Dogs are trained to paw, nudge, or alert others, even during the night.
🧩 Autism Service Dogs
We train autism service dogs to help with transitions, redirect harmful behaviors, and provide sensory grounding through DPT. Modified heel and controlled tethering are available.
🌧️ Anxiety & Depression Dogs
Our psychiatric dogs detect emotional shifts and provide grounding during anxiety or depressive episodes. Tasks include interrupting spirals, leading to safe spaces, and tactile calming behaviors.
